Sometimes things just are not ok…

Tuna Stuffed Jalapenos

I have to admit, there are some days when I have no idea what to make for dinner. I have been thinking about divorce all day and my brain hurts… I don’t want to figure out something to cook. Since it is Cinco De Mayo, I thought making Mexican sounded good. My favorite restaurant in Gladstone makes these chicken wrapped jalapenos and so I thought I would try it out. I wanted to make extra stuffed jalapenos since they are a favorite of my husband. I just could not quite remember how to cook them. So I did what any mom would do — I Googled it. Tuna stuffed jalapenos came up. YUCK!

It made me think of all the things which might seem to ok on the surface, but just are not kosher. A great example in our society is having a child with someone else while you are still married. You’ve been separated for years, you just never filed for divorce. No big deal, right? Wrong!

This is something I have never figured out. Why wouldn’t you get divorced when you are in a new relationship? Now add on having a child together and you get a recipe for a BIG legal bill. Not closing one legal chapter before you open up another one is a big failure. Why? The law sees your husband as the presumed father. When you do finally get around to getting a divorce, you have a HUGE MESS!

Two cases… a divorce and a paternity case.

Even if you and your new significant other are living happily ever after with your child, the Court wants you to legalize it. You thought you could get out of the whole legal thing, but you are right back in it anyway. It is like throwing away money. People get so mad at me when I tell them the legal reality. Probably about as mad as if I tried to feed those tuna jalapenos to my husband.
